cycles layers Exclude prevents Mask from working #33131

%%%when using the Exclude option for a layer in cycles, the Mask option for that layer no longer functions. So you can exclude rays from a layer affecting another layer, or use it as a mask, but not both.
The test file has two render layers, a and b, using 3 scene layers
a includes a green emissive cube on layer 0 and background plane on layer 2
b includes a pink emissive cube on layer 1 and background plane on layer 2 (I count from zero)
b is visible in the preview in the 3d view.

exclude layer 0 from the lighting: the green light dissapears (good)
unexclude it and put it in the mask, and a hole appears in the alpha where the green cube is (good)
press both and the light stays gone, but the hole is not.

this affects the current SVN, on Linux 64 bit (fedora 17), Intel CPU, nvidia GPU using CPU rendering.%%%

%%%I'm confused about this: "press both and the light stays gone, but the hole is not." That's not what it does here, it just disappears entirely, is that behavior is what you want it to do, still act as mask but have no further influence?

The feature seems be working as I intended it, but an exception could be added for this.%%%
