%%%--- Operating System, Graphics card ---
Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit - GeForce GT 320M

- Blender version with error, and version that worked ---

2.68 rc

- Short description of error ---

I'm not sure what's going on here, btw:
the first time you load an image in the UV/Image Editor and try to invert the channels, you have one kind of result; if you delete the image, reload it again and try again to invert the same channel, you have a totally different result. This happens only if the first time you inverted first the red channel and then the green channel; I mean, the second green channel inverting step seems needed, otherwise the different result doesn't seems to occur.

- Steps for others to reproduce the error (preferably based on attached .blend file) ---
  • Start Blender and switch the 3d view wth an UV/Image Editor" window;
  • open the attached image "rgb.png" (or whatever):
  • go to the "Invert" menu item under "Image" on the window header and select "Invert Red Channel" (attached image "01.png"); you obtain image as "02.png";
  • go to the "Invert" menu item under "Image" on the window header and select "Invert Green Channel" (attached image "03.png");
  • now delete the inverted "rgb.png" image and then open it again in the same UV/Image Editor window;
  • go to the "Invert" menu item under "Image" on the window header and again select "Invert Red Channel": you obtain image as "04.png" (totally different from image "02.png").
