- Blender version with error, and version that worked ---

2.68a - none

- Short description of error ---

If you try to add an object in a hidden layer to the scene with addObject and then run an animation actuator, blender can't find the actuator:
"ValueError: open not in this python controllers actuator list"

.blend attached with the example.%%%

%%%I think that I didn't explained very well the bug:

Trying to run an animator actuator of an object that you added to the scene with addObject fails.%%%

%%%This isn't a valid way to activate logic. All Gamelogic must involve a sensor, controller and actuator between existing objects. You cannot do that with any controller type.
This is not a bug, but a feature. %%%

%%%Maybe isn't here the place to ask, but I couldn't find another way to animate a new object added with addobject. Is it possible?

I'm just learning and maybe I'm wrong but if there is no other way to animate a new object I don't really find as a feature that the object data structure loose it's (basic in a GE) capacity of being animable in a particula situation.
It can be a limitation of the game engine data structure, but for me is strange to have "special" objects that can't be animable because you instanced them from a hidden layer.

Thanks for your reply, and many thanks for the great work that you all are doing with the BGE :)

%%%If you did it this way, you'd have undefined behaviour - depending on the number of objects. They're not "unanimateable" at all. You just need to trigger them correctly. You've got many different ways to activate logic - any one of the sensors, or using some python code. This just needs to be defined on the object being added.%%%

%%%Thanks! The problem is solved here: http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?316786-Can-t-animate-and-added-object-with-addObject
Sorry for openning the bug! :P
So it can be closed.%%%
