%%%--- Win 7 64 bit

- Blender version with error: Blender 2.69 official, and version that worked: Blender 2.68a

If there are two or more uv unwrapped objects and you join them together (Ctrl+J) the uv map gets lost for all those objects except for one.

Attached is a blend file. The two triangular objects are unwrapped. Press TAB and Crtl+J and TAB again to see what happens.

%%%UVmaps (like other layers, e.g. vertex colors or vertex groups) are now merged by names. As your two objects do not have same named UVMaps, you get two maps in merged result… Not a bug, thanks for the report but closing.%%%

%%%Sorry I wasn't yet aware of this new behaviour/feature.

However, there is still a bug. After joining the objects and then delete one of the uv maps blender crashes. This concerns the objects of the attached blend file only. As I tried to redo this with two cubes there was no crash.

Steps to do:

Open the attached file,

Press TAB, press CTRL+J, press TAB again, then go to Object data panel/UVMaps and delete the inactive 'UVTex' Map. Now Blender should crash.%%%

%%%Well, that’s a totally different issue, indeed…

Looks like we miss some kind of update for Image Editor when deleting an uvmap (from a quick gdb session, Image Editor still has a pointer to the removed uvtex or something like that). Will investigate this.%%%
