Short description of error
Even if Color Management is disabled, either at Display Device, either at Shading, or both, it is still applied to the background. Strangely, this happens only while the game is running; this doesn't happen in the viewport.
Mist, which is relative with background color, fades to the "uncorrected" tone. background_color_management.blend

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open the .blend. Check Color Management settings (both Display Device and Shading) and stare at the viewport. Start the game engine. See that background color is changed, probably by Color Management.

Here is a simple file.

By the way, it seems that sRGB color management is applied to the background independently of what we have selected.

Note that 3d view display has checked "Only Render"
