My system: Windows 10 64 bits, GTX 970, i7 2600k, MSVC 2013

Hi! Since https://developer.blender.org/rB776a8548f03a049d56f19943e6bc4590ecd53028 we have a bug when we call BKE_object_copy in bge runtime when the logic bricks are duplicated.

My debugger says the crash happens in sca.c->BKE_sca_logic_copy->if (sens->links- [x] && sens->links- [x]->mynew) {

sens->links- [x]->mynew makes blender crash.

Steps to reproduce the bug:

  • Download Sintel game from https://github.com/jonburesh/sintelgame (sorry about file size and complexity of the file)
  • Extract
  • With last Blender master built in debug mode, open sintelgame-master\lib\levels\desert_level.blend
  • Switch to game logic view
  • Enable texturing shading mode
  • Press P one time
  • Exit
  • Press P a second time ->crash

The bug can be reproduced in release builts when we play with the file but I can't define the exact steps to reproduce the bug.

I think BKE_object_copy is not called often in bge code. iirc, it's called in BL_ArmatureObject::ProcessReplica but I don't know if this is related.

I'm not able to be more precise. I'm sorry, and I don't know if you could reproduce the crash as it seems to happen more or less "randomly".
