I can't rotate nor move bones of my rig in the viewport. #66132

System Information
Operating system: Windows 10 64 bit
Graphics card: MSI GTX 1080.

Blender Version
Broken: 2.80, d30f72dfd8, 2019-06-19
Worked: 2.79b, f4dc9f9d68, 2018-03-22

Short description of error
I can't rotate nor move bones in the viewport. I can see in the left down corner their coordinates changes but I don't see the change in the viewport. I can only move and rotate bones after I deleted all keyframes. If I enabled autokeying, move/rotate bone and click LMB the bone snaps to the new position. I don't have this issue in Blender 2.79b and I'm not sure what could have been enabled or bugged in 2.80 causing this issue.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Select the bone in pose mode.
  • Try to move it and rotate it.
  • You can see coordinate changes but you don't see a new position in the viewport.

I don't know if there's any "rules" against NSFW content around here, but it sounds like the problem is contained within the armature object, so I advise you to make a minimal blend file which is recommended anyways, by just deleting everything except the armature, and upload the file that way.

Simplified down to 2 bones:
dino-rig.blend

@Sergey there are multiple ways of making the bone "movable" again:

  • Delete the Delete Me bone.
  • Clear the animation and start over.

I made this file out of the one submitted by the reporter, not sure how to reproduce from scratch though.

My assumption is some Blender's 2.80 enabled option/functionality caused that. I recall I could move/rotates bones but at one point I couldn't anymore. Some Blender users said bones' transforms were in green so they were constrained/locked to something. But green indicates the bone has a keyframe usually and you can still be able to move/rotate it around.
