Please open Blender's installation directory and double click on the blender_debug_gpu.cmd. This will start Blender in debug mode and create log files. Try to make Blender crash again. Once it crashes the Windows Explorer should open and show you up to two files, a debug log and the system information. Add them to your bug report by clicking on the upload button as shown in the screenshot below or via drag and drop. Please also upload the crash log located in C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\Temp\[project name].crash.txt (or simply type %TEMP% into the path bar of the Windows Explorer).

Resolved: Tested it on blender 2.93.0 alpha and it seems to have already been fixed. Thanks!

Description: Having an object with a normal map and a second object with a volume absorption within a project causes a crash or one object with both. Minimal example at the bottom.

Process:
Not sure if its of any use, but here how to recreat the crash on 2.91.0 and 2.83.10

  • create 2 default cubes and move the new cube to the right
  • go to shading tab
  • add to cube 1 material a (Vector) normal map (note: crashes with or without texture image connected to normal map)
  • add to cube 2 new material a volume absorbtion
  • change rendering to GPU cycles
  • check that im using openCL with AMD rx5700
  • press f12 to render and wait for the crash when it attempts to compile the kernel
