I am a relatively new to Blender having come from Cinema 4D, was hoping to be able to switch to Blender but the constant crashing is non-productive and frustrating, I am trying to learn the software but it is somewhat impossible at this stage - I am using Cycles and have tried both CPU and GPU compute both with the same result

If the crash doesn't occur because you're running out of memory, then please open Blender's installation directory and double click on the blender_debug_gpu.cmd. This will start Blender in debug mode and create log files. Try to make Blender crash again. Once it crashes the Windows Explorer should open and show you up to two files, a debug log and the system information. Add them to your bug report by clicking on the upload button as shown in the screenshot below or via drag and drop. Please also upload the crash log located in C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\Temp\[project name].crash.txt (or simply type %TEMP% into the path bar of the Windows Explorer).

Thank you for your response, I have uploaded the debug and system info but I am unable to locate the crash txt file - I tried manually searching for that file but the only .txt files in that location are the debug and system info - what I don't understand is that everything was working fine for a while yesterday then it suddenly started crashing for no obvious reason bar the memory being pushed to its max, thanks again Robert

@Ty_Emery If the memory is indeed reaching its maximum then the crash likely happens because you are running out of memory. It could be that your scene complexity is too high (e.g. geometry, modifiers, number of textures / texture size, number of particles). Please check if it works properly if you try to reduce the complexity and keep the memory usage from reaching the maximum.

Edit: I've just noticed that you've already attached the project file. One of us will have to take a look if we can reproduce the memory spike and if this is a bug or an issue in the scene complexity.

Tested the file and I pinned performance tab to track the spike. Memory spike did not occur and crash is also not reproducible.

No activity for more than a week. As per the tracker policy we assume the issue is gone and can be closed.

Thanks again for the report. If the problem persists please open a new report with the required information.
