Operating system: Windows 10 - 64
Graphics card: Radeon RX 5500 XT
Blender Version
Broken: 2.93.0
Short description of error
I split my single Blender window to two Graph Editor/Node Editor & 3D Viewport for my multiple screens. If my mouse hovering anything but node editor(Include Graph editor or 3D Viewport) and I press play that timeline cursor like starts twitching.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Create two different windows. Graph Editor and 3D Viewport. Than press play on 3D Viewport window selected.

By node editor you mean shader or geometry nodes? Best would be if you could upload simple .blend file with this layout.
So far I wasn't able to reproduce any issue.

Not sure I understand the sentence. What I followed is:
Open 3d viewport window and press play
, after I could not see any jerk on cursor movement.@PratikPB2123 what happens when you start playback with mouse in graph editor? In my case cursor/playhead doesn't move at all. This could be bug that exhibits itself in different way on different hardware. Other than that, I see no issues.
@iss , playhead doesn't move when I keep cursor over the graph editor.
oh I misunderstood the report, I interpret "timeline cursor" as "cursor" (playhead would be the accurate word here)
I can reproduce if its all about playhead.
Yes this is about playhead. In graph editor it can be 2d cursor as well so it gets fuzzy with naming here :)
Can you reproduce twitching thoughh? I guess we could change report to static playhead position and hope this is same issue... In any case if you can reproduce twitching please confirm report.
@Dogac can you make video recording of this bug so we can better understand the issue?
yes, I can notice irregular behavior of playhead.

I think this will more help.
Changed status from 'Needs User Info' to: 'Confirmed'
@Dogac , Thanks. Confirming because I (and ISS also) can reproduce this.

Seems to be an issue with the detection of which windows/areas are to be redrawn during playback: the
match_region_with_redraws()
in the code. Not sure which module this fits the best though. @JulianEisel is it interface?
