OpenGL 3.3 error with a RTX 3060 updated #90710

System Information
Operating system: Windows 10 home 10.0.19043 64bits
Graphics card: GeForce RTX 3060/ NVidia Studio 471.68

Blender Version
Broken: (2.93 LTS)
Broken: (August 16, 02:27:45 - v2.93 - 1eeae9be15)

I have a Gigabyte Aero with an NVidia GeForce RTX 3060 running Geforce driver 471.68 (GameReady) and an i7 10870H, but Blender tells me that I need a graphics card compatible with opengl 3.3

Curiously yesterday it worked well ...

I tried to change out the NVidia drivers for non-GameReady ones to no effect. I tried to update the drivers of the machine’s integrated graphics, still nothing.

I had this issue yesterday too but it was a result of dual card issue for me.

Right-click on the Blender.exe and choose the "opengl" card to run on if it is available. If not you might need to wipe your GPU drivers and reinstall them as another solution.

It might also be a Blender issue.

Unfortunately it didn't work, everything indicates that it is a Blender issue. Thanks for your time :)

Just logged in to say "Same here". ASUS TUF Dash F15. GeForce 3060 RTX Laptop.
No problems with any other software.
Is there any news on this issue?

Historically this has sometimes occurred when using some types of laptop docking stations or when plugging external monitors into laptops. Is that the case for anyone here? If so, remove those and try again just to check. Either way, let's get that quirk out of the way first. Additionally, is it just 2.93.x that's broken, or are 2.83.x and 3.0 broken as well?

Please try this workaround #62651#642752

Also, No activity for more than a week. As per the tracker policy we assume the issue is gone and can be closed.
