System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.22000-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 497.29

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.0.1 Release Candidate, branch: master, commit date: 2022-01-12 07:17, hash: aafbd74646
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
Blender 3.0.1 is crashing when I change viewport shader to Material Preview or Rendering. I have 2.83 version as well and it works well in 2.83, but 3.0.1 crashes

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
[Please describe the exact steps needed to reproduce the issue]
Just simply click to another viewport shading of Material Preview or Render view
[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]

Hi, Thanks for the report. Doesn't crash here on current master and 3.0.0
Does it occur on specific file or default cube is enough to get the crash?
Are you able to reproduce with factory preferences?: {nav Edit > Preferences > Save & Load (3 horizontal lines) > Load Factory preferences}

Hi Pratik.
It happens whenever I click other viewport shading mode like 'Material Preview' or 'Rendered'. It just crashes without any messages, but sometimes Blender pops up that I need to have Cuda graphic card and/or latest driver for it, but I already have GTX 3060 with latest driver.
It happens on Blender 3.0.1 and 2.9.3, but it works fine with Blender 2.83.
Also, it happens when only starting cube is there even
Yes. I tried factory preferences, but it didn't work

Hi, do you have multiple monitors with one plugged into different card?
That's a known issue, see: #62651 (Dual monitor on separate graphics card driver error)

Hi, Try to plug them to single graphics card. That may fix your problem (not sure).
Or try this workaround: #62651#642752

I think it would be safe to merge this report in #62651

Oh wow. The problem is because of that~! Thank you so much.
But do I need to assign graphic card every single time when I open blender?

Hi, good to know that worked for you.

But do I need to assign graphic card every single time when I open blender?

Not really sure. I never had this issue.
Will close this ticket. Feel free to comment or submit a new report if problem appears again :)
