Short description of error
Enabling and disabling stereoscopy turns VSE preview black. Preview is unusable after this.

I found a way to turn the video preview back.

  1. turn off srereoscopy
  2. in the video sequencer, switch to Sequencer and preview
    ррррррррр.jpg
    at the same time, the preview will look very strange (the image in the video preview is an image from the splash screen, not from the video clip)

  3. enable and disable stereoscopy
  4. switch to Preview in the video sequencer

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Open Video Editing template
  • Turn Stereoscopy on and off

I've looked into this one and the issue is caused because wm_draw_region_stereo_set is only called when stereo is in use, so multiview_eye is left as STEREO_RIGHT_ID after disabling stereo rendering.

Most editors don't actually check this, since wm_draw does most of the setup, but sequencer_draw does in sequencer_ibuf_get.

Either setting up the region stereo setting to STEREO_MONO_ID in wm_draw_window_offscreen or retrieving the active view with GPU_viewport_active_view_get in sequencer_ibuf_get can fix the issue.
