%%%Two questions,
Does this work for any other kind of strip?
Can you render the 3d view using the OpenGL render buttons (on the very right of the 3d view header)?
If no to both of these, then you have the same problem as this bug:
https://projects.blender.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=22081&group_id=9&atid=498
%%%
%%%The fact it works in Linux but not in Windows tells me there's something wrong with ffmpg (video lib)
The best way forward is then to attach a small mp4 here for review. Note the attachments here cannot be larger than 5 MB.%%%
%%%I am sorry , it's different pc
my windows use intel card
my linux use nvdia card :)
@A Saurus1: 1. image & video didn't work too !?
2. openGl failed render !?
3. thank u
@Ton: you can test use mp4 video from sintel
that's have same result (you will see blank(white) view mode on sequencer display output!)
%%%
%%%It may well be the same as this bug:
http://projects.blender.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=24044&group_id=9&atid=498
Sequencer is drawing the preview as a texture, without testing if non power of two textures are supported. Could you verify if it works if you use a power of two resolution (e.g. 512x512).%%%
%%%Hey, I tried it and it worked (at least for me, and I bet almost anything that it will work for him as well). It seems that yes, my Video Card only supports textures that are a power of 2. So did 2.49 get around this somehow?
I have an ATI Radeon X200, so it's pretty ancient. And I know nVidia is known for being good at graphics, so that explains why the linux build worked and the Windows build didn't.
I put something in todo about this, but now that I know more about the problem, I'll update that.
I still can't create an OpenGL offscreen buffer, even with power of 2 but that's okay for now.%%%
%%%@brecht Van Lommel : thank you.. i follow your suggest, and yes it's work if i use 512x512 render resolution.%%%
%%%Hrm, another OpenGL failure for Intel cards. It's indeed a duplicate report of 24044, which has been assigned to Janne to work on.%%%
