Motion paths don't work with proxy armatures

1. Link an armature object from a .blend file
2. "Make proxy" for the linked armature
3. Adding a few keyframes, so that there is some animation
4. Press the "Calculate Motion Paths" button on the Tkey panel - nothing happens.

Showing bone paths will work if the armature is Appended and not a Linked Proxy.

Thanks for the report. I've checked the code, but the motion paths option is heavily optimized to work a bit fast. There's no proxy exception handling there.

The proxy feature was added in 2007 for BBB, and never was further improved or integrated well. It has several known issues... I've marked this one on our todo as well:
