"Curved" option in Vector Blur doesn't seem to be working #29192

%%%Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 64bit, Nvidia GeForce GTS 250, Blender 2.60 as well as 2.59.4

I was attempting to set up the Vector Blur option in the Node Editor, but it doesn't seem to be as "pretty" as it once was; I've noticed that the "curved" option doesn't change anything when I toggle it on and off. Also, there's a strange "cutoff line" type of thing that appears when the main/moving object goes behind another object (in my render I've attached, you can see it above the helmet).

%%%I've also deduced that the "cutoff line" is not due to the helmet, but the edge of the transparent/shadows only ground plane...%%%

%%%I think you misunderstand the node. I think "curve" means that it just interpolates the blur falloff differently. (Vector Blur works by duplicating moving objects' pixels along a line, fading each one more than the last.)%%%

%%%These are unfortunately just vector blur limitations. Curved will do curved instead of linear interpolation between frames, but it's not going to fix any aliasing issues. Objects moving behind or in front of others also can't work that well, they need to be separate into separate render layers for best results.%%%
