Description

Collada exported files including bones do not work if imported into Vue.....
They do work though if you export the file into another application like Carrara and export from there to Vue.....
strange...

Different applications can use a bit different syntax in collada files which can lead to incompatibilities of generated files with some other software.Don't think it's Blender's bug.
Nathan, am i right or there's something we can do here? Thanks for looking into this issue :)

I only see this with Blender exported files.I use quite a few applications to export to Vue with and they all work without
any problems.... :)

This report does not contain enough information, attach an example .blend file, and mention operating system and exact blender version tested.

I can help with testing. Also got Vue.

The last builds of Blender (2.5 and up)and operating system Windows 7 Pro.....
make a simple worm with some bones and export it to Vue Inf.
Every other software works even some with full animation.. but Blenders exported file needs to be opened inside another application
like Carrara Pro and reexported from there...then it works too ..
regards and thanks
Peter

Please attach a .blend file and mention the exact blender version, as mentioned on the bug submission. I understand this might seem unnecessary, but there's many small things that can be different in setting up an armature, and there were various collada changes during 2.5 and 2.6 development.

The version of blender I export this file from is 2.60a on 32 bit with windows vista for this computer.....
The file crashes Vue upon import !

Collada bugs are not being handled well so far,

for this reason they are all being set as \'TODO\' and linked from our wiki page.

This tracker item can still be updated with useful info and closed (removed from the page above) when fixed.

Hi,

If Vue crashes when importing a .dae it's not a blender issue and there is no reasonable way for blender devs to investigate/fix it. As a result, I'm rejecting this report.
