%%%I think that deformations of instances must be the same because they consist of the same data (I'm not sure of my definition). It's the feature - you don't need more memory if objects are identical.%%%

%%%I know its a feature to save ram, you need to turn it off for dynamic generated worlds like I have illustrated in my file and like armatures do!. also, the armature deform works, why cant the shape actions and mesh deforms work? I really believe that its an architecturat strong point to have this working as it is expected to work.%%%

%%%I would like a 'make singel user' for BGE, like it allot! But it's kind of a feature request rather then a bug (shape actions might be a bug - You expect them to act like armature animations). Armature BTW solve it by making a cache copy of the mesh - leading to mesh editing like UV-scroll not working... That is on the borderline of a bug to. speaking feature request - an option to actually share a armature animation between object would be a great feature to speed up some scenes.
