The user manual doesn't say it explicitly, but the script expects always armatures to be exported along with the meshes. A minimum of 3 bones is recommended for each armature.

"Mesh only" means it will export the mesh+skeleton without any animation.

Did you parent the armature with the mesh? It does detect armature type. Check the export panel if your using it or the export to what one.

gaveteiro.blend I didn't see the armature object.

Indeed it's a requirement to export bot mesh & armature.
This relates also to Blender 2.66.
