Adding a new movie strip in VSE from .avi files resulting in a 1 frame strip (black ?)
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Start Blender 2.70. Change to VSE layout, add movie strip, select an .avi file -> 1 frame strip with no content.
(The .avi file was generated by rendering another scene in Blender, the file is correctly displayed by VLC)

Can’t reproduce the issue. Please add a (minimal! a few frames in low def are enough) video file showing the issue.

Sorry, It happened because of a "dirty" installation (I have installed 2.70 on top of 2.69).
