Select and crash #40503

i5 laptop 6 gigs of ram Nvidia gt620M

official Blender 2.70
Project started in 2.70..

the bugs is quite funny when i select object blender just close like i would kill the proces.

I can select the same object by outliner or in wireframe mode, and i can go to edit mode. and Grab scale rotate works perfectly after that changes... still when i click to select it crash.

I discovered how to make it not crash. Change subdivison value from 3 to 2.. to select use outliner or wire frame mode. Wired.

Both meshes are valid, and I don't get a crash here on Linux with GeForce GTS 450.

Expect this is a graphics card driver bug.

Can you copy one of these DLL's into the same dir as your blender.exe and see if using software OpenGL fixes the issue?

no crash with openGL.

What i have notice that the crashing happens after i instaled a plugin Exporter to Corona render, and when i work with corona materials it seams that this provides the crash... however this is kinda wired because if not cycles All other render engines are using blender internal shadeing?

@MaciejJutrzenka: Do you have an Optimus system? If yes, are you sure Blender does run on your NVidia GPU and not your embedded intel one?

In any case, if sowftware GL works OK, it means the issue is in your driver somehow, not in Blender. Thanks for the report anyway.

i have updated the drivers.. and instaled the new version of blender without the plugins and it is happening when there is some mesh with more poly. + i have noticed that AA is not working and in 2.69 was.

Okey so it crash when VBO is turned on. if i will turn it off it works without a problem.
