Viewport view rotation gets messed up after moving window with titlebar #41412

System Information
OSX 10.9.4

Blender Version
2.71

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Open Blender with factory defaults

  2. Drag the window somewhere (by clicking and dragging on the titlebar)

  3. Now try to rotate the view (using the middle mouse button)

On my computer, the rotation goes berserk.

The more I dragged the window, the more crazy the rotation gets.

Not seeing that here on my iMac 10.9.4
More information needed about your system.
If you have another mouse try that. I think you were on BlenderStack exchange asking about the Logitech 510. I'm using Logitech 505.

Hmm. I am not seeing it anymore at home. The only difference is that at work I have a second monitor. I won't be able to test that until Tuesday, when I go back to work. I was seeing it extremely consistently before, so let's not close this until I have a chance to try to narrow it down further.

I will try another mouse, but I doubt the physical mouse is the problem, because it is a software change that cause the problem (moving the titlebar, and only then rotating).

That was not me on the forum. I have a simple Microsoft mouse.

I can't reproduce the bug, so I guess we can close this.

It happened 100% reliably during one login session, but no longer.

If I encounter it again and can isolate it, I'll report back here.
