Short description of error
First off, this is not exactly a bug, more of an issue in consistency. In Blender, there are sliders with a limited value set. There are also sliders that don't have a set value, indicated by arrows on each side. However, some of the latter sliders won't go past a certain value. One example of this is the mean crease slider in the Properties tab. It should use the set slider GUI. I hope that the phrasing of that paragraph didn't sound stupid.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
- Tab into edit mode on the default cube.
- Select all vertices, and open up the Properties tab.
- Change the value of the 'Mean crease' slider. It only goes to 1, but it implies that it can go past 1.
