Short description of error
Selection of vert, line, face of an object in edit mode will alter solid shading light. This creates a flickering effect switching between objects. This can be reproduced on the base cube with factory settings.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
BaseCubeFactorySettings.blend
This effect can be reversed and demonstrated again by:
4. Tab back into object mode
5. Right click the base cube
6. Repeat steps 1-3
Tested in 2.69 and this does not occur.

Update Tested on Windows 7, AMD Radeon R7 200 Series and the bug did not occur, seems to be linked to the graphics card

Either I do not understand the issue, or I cannot reproduce it. Can you please attach some screenshots showing the issue?
When a vert is selected in edit mode, it seems either the material or the solid shading lighting is altered and dims the object.

Seems to be similar to #43208 which was fixed through a75728341b. So could you test again with the latest build from buildbot ?
