Sometimes when I'm working with Blender 2.73a the material flickering is back, but I can not save the file and show you guys, becouse after reopen file, diffuse colors are back (i'm working in blender internal mostly).
So I just decided to let you know that sometimes the bug is still there, but I can not prove it ; (
I hope that after Open GL update it will be all working as well as in blender 2.72 ; )))

Noticed this once too but couldn't manage to redo.

Naah, such "random" appearing bugs are hard to tackle. @Psy-Fi, maybe you can fool around with it a bit?
Not easily, we have to know how to reach the invalid state.

Material flickering in viewport 2 (Continue from tT43208)to Material flickering in viewport 2 (Continue from T43208)So how shall we continue with this? Unconfirmed maybe?
As far as I remember it was always happening when I was working in edit mode in fullscreen view of 3d viewport (default: CTRL + UP ARROW when cursor hovers 3d view).
Maybe that's why it's hard to redo it, because maybe you do not use this feature so often as I do. I use it all the time (in a fact, I even changed the hotkey to one of my special mouse keys).
That are only my thoughts, so maybe I'm wrong ; (
Moving to Unconfirmed, If nobody can redo or give us steps to redo within 2 weeks, it gets closed.
I can definitely confirm this on 2.73

! It happens to me dozen of times an hour. It's totally random.I will try 2.74RC at lunch break to see if it's still here.

Some extra questions here:
Generally, if the bug happens again, please attach a file here, chances are the same file can reproduce the issue even if not immediately after opening.

These are my Blender settings, If I'm right I do not use VBO (in fact, I don't even know what it is).
"Do you work with textured solid mode?":
If I notice this bug again, I will immedately save .blend file and send it here.
Last time when I saw it I wasn't in fullscreen of viewport view (I don't know how to call it properly ;D), so my suspicions were wrong ; (
Changed status from 'Open' to: 'Archived'
Unconfirmed for too long, there's not really much we can do without a test case and we have to keep tracker tidy, closing (archived, just in case it pops up again)

Here you are! After pressing Z (wireframe mode), and then again pressing Z to go to Solid the problem strikes again (object should be blue becouse that is the color of material).
I have that issue even after reloading file again.
And the problem is only when I'm working with my NVIDIA card. Integrated card don't have a problem with the file.
My videocard: GeForce GT 740M.
This may be fixed:
