local view - lights didn't hides in cycles #44368

System Information
tested on Windows XP and on Windows 7 with "CUDA-enabled" nVidia cards

Blender Version
Broken:
2-64 (51232)
2.74 (000dfc0)

Local mode shows all lights in scene in view with rendered shading.
Bug appears only in Cycles (not in Blender Internal Render).
Both in CPU and GPU modes.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on localmode-cycles-lighting-bug.blend

  1. Turn on "rendered view"
  • cube is black
  1. Turn on "local view"
  • cube is white. Expected is black.

How steps from default scene

  1. Switch to "Cycles render"
  2. Move light to second (or other) layer{F161526}
  3. Switch to "rendered view"
    Cube is shadeless gray
  4. Switch to "local mode"
    Cube is lighted. Expected is to preserve light hidden.

Plase notice that this problem is related with render layers.
If in local view You press "RenderLayer" button (preview active render layer in viewport) - then unexpected lights hides.

Currently all light is considered to be affecting the local view renders, which is intentional in the code. So wouldn't consider this a bug, just something possible for improvements.

I've created a patch D1326 which makes Cycles local view behave same as BI, which as i understand some gooseberry artists is how it's expected to be.
