Hi,
As already talked in a bug report, blender/blender#44711 , this is not really a bug, it's more informations about motion blur and baked datas for hairs simulation.
If you use the baked hair simulation with motion blur, the last frame will have an exponential render time (15 min goes to 8 hours), cause no more datas in the alembic bake for motion blur and blender becomes crazy.
It'll be good to put an important note or tips note in the documentation to say "if you use motion blur in your animation, think to bake all your timeline + 1 frame if you want to use motion blur on baked hairs without problem on the last frame".
Without motion blur, no problem at all on the last frame.
By default I think is better to say, on simulation bake one more frame if motion blur.
Hope will help,
Best Regards,
Matt
