Short description of error
There is no checkboard in the background of a transparent image in the image viewer after a render. Not sure if this is a bug or a "Linux feature", but I couldn't find any information about this anywhere.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
20 sec video demonstration: https://youtu.be/1FqZaiTiCFU
The steps are simply: load factory settings, activate transparency for render, render.

Cannot reproduce that here… Please always attach here a .blend file to help reproducing issue, video are seldom useful for us.
Does a blend file really matter in this case since I simply loaded factory settings, made film transparent and then hit "render"?
Also don't think we need a .blend here tbh, in this case the video is pretty clear.
@Geminoidi, could you run blender by executing the blender-softwaregl file bundled with the builds? Will be slow but helps us finding out if this is a driver issue or not.

@julian-8 Eisel (Severin) I did what you suggested and after opening Blender through softwaregl the transparency grid was visible again! Does this mean it's indeed a driver issue with my computer?
Changed status from 'Open' to: 'Archived'
Yeah, pretty likely. I'd suggest to update/change drivers, chances are good that this solves the issue.
Closing this for now as it's unlikely a bug on Blender's side, but thanks for the report anyway :)
