System Information
Windows XP/SP3 32bits

Blender Version
Broken: version 2.75 (sub 3), branch b'master', commit date b'2015-08-01' b'02:37', hash b'49f8832', b'Release'
Worked: unknown

Short description of error
vertex color light is not displayed definitely.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
vertex color light is not displayed definitely.
I do not know whether honesty this is a bug.
An official manual too has few descriptions about "vertex color light".
Only vertex color of last vertex is used for two colors a figure for coating in primitive Plane.
I think that the blended color of the color of each vertex was used in the early version of 2.6.

@ideasman42:
It is described "Vertex color light " in an official manual in this way.

Vertex Color Light
Add vertex paint colors as additional lighting. (This can be used to produce good incandescence effects).

There is not the description except this.
Is a cause displayed with one color that alpha of the material is zero?
However, it becomes a result same as an attached image even if I set it other than 0.

Re-opening. This is indeed a bug.

The light from the vertex color is using one of the vertex colors in the face.

While the behavior isn't really nice.
Checked the code and am afraid this is working as intended.

Vertex color light is taking a single sample point from a face.
See: occ_shade, which calls shade_input_set_shade_texco with fixed U/V values.

I did not know it whether it was right to use which color as vertex color light in the case of single face.
I tried it in 2.50a2 and 2.53, but understood it because I obtained the same result when probably this was the present specifications.
Thanks.
