I am following the Digital Tutors "Your First Day In Blender" tutorial and after doing the multires sculpting tutorial I have a strange artefact that I cannot edit. The artefact looks like a knife blade sticking out the side of the creatures mouth.
I'm not sure how to describe what I was doing other than sculpting with various brushes as increasing resolution and then using a noise texture to sculpt.
I have uploaded a screenshot here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18450868/Screen%20Shot%202015-10-15%20at%2011.51.21.png
And the .blend file is here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18450868/creature.blend
The previous version (.blend1 file) is here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18450868/creature.blend1
Blender version: 2.76 (release)
O/S: OSX 10.11.0

Advice from a fellow Blender sculptor, multires has spike issue it is a known problem. Devs will look at it when they have time. To avoid those spikes, try this: make sure that before you go the next level you have enough details then you can subdivide again. When you are over 3 subdivision (+4 ) don't go back, because Multires goes crazy. May be Devs will help more here. And make sure as well that your model have uniform scale before sculpting in object mode (CTRL+a) apply scale.
Good luck Good day ;)
OK thanks Erick for the advice.

Changing resolution (especially going down) is known to cause issues with multires, so I'll archive this. We do have to take a look at the issue at some point though...
