Delete Branch "%!s(<nil>)"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Enable region overlap user preference.
In the default 3D viewport, press NKey, then drag on the corner widget. -> Blender crashes.
Attached asan output: region_overlap_azone.txt, region_overlap_azone_2020_01_28_update.txt (found while investigating #46764).

Note: Blender internals aren't well suited of handling regions being manipulated like this while the rest of Blender is being used. We could either prevent interaction during the fade, or disable it since its not really needed.

Well, can't really reproduce the issue so can't give meaningful feedback here. But it seems weird we can't solve order of alloc/free in the interface code which is all singlethreaded?
Also, what's the point of submitting it as a report, it's gonna to go to your desk anyway ;)
Its not alloc-free, its that
ED_area_initialize
can run at any moment while interacting with the UI (runs when fade is complete).Though in practice the its normally not an issue.
Reporting because its a crasher in the UI, but not wanting to spend time on it this moment.
Also if others like to fix I wont complain :)

This is still crashing, added updated ASAN log.

This is no longer crashing (tested with
#define TIMEOUT 4.0f
, closing / joining / splitting the area no longer crashing).
