@MartijnBerger can you check installer to be sure it does have and install that dll, just in case?

@seghierk please try to re-download and install the RC, could be some corrupted installer or something maybe…

the problem that when i installed it i didn't see folder called : 2.77 ; just 2.76
so i uninstalled the old version and reinstall again and it work now
but that never happened before
link of the installer :
http://download.blender.org/release/Blender2.77/blender-2.77-rc1-windows64.msi

Uuuh… would mean MSI installer does not handle correctly update of existing installation?

yes he seems to imply that.
Ill need to create some kvm images to test these interactions in a controlled way

@MartijnBerger, any news?

We didn't get any other reports on this though, I guess we would have if this happened to others. If others do have the same issue, we should probably assign a higher priority however.

I have 2.78; it may be that i did not extract all files in the .zip folder using WinRAR.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this comment but a web search landed me on this page.

I am currently having a related problem - although I am not sure it is for different reasons to the original poster.

I was getting the same "Python35.dll missing" error and then I noticed that when I unzip a version of Blender from 'latest builds' my virus protection (Norton) deletes the following files...
python35.dll
avutil-55.dll
swresample-2.dll
as soon as I unzip the directory.

The current release version (has different python-35.dll) does not have this problem.

Further, the last time I tried to use a 'latest build' version was in November (different python35.dll) which did not (and does not I have rechecked) have this problem when I unzip it.

Anyway I thought it might be helpful information - but sorry if I am wasting anyone's time.

Edit
Should have said I am using Windows 10 - 5820K - GTX 970

Just did install/repair/uninstal/instal/repair and I keep hitting the same wall. I don't speek tech, so that was where my ideas ended.
I googled the issue and this was top hit, so hope it's still checked on a new post.
Running win 8.1.
