Short description of error
Blender crashes when the subdivision int-value is too high.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
After startup select a more complex model (I used Suzanne) and go into the "Modifiers" part of the properties window. Add a Subdivision Surface modifier.
When you use the arrows to get to a higher value it stops at 6 for both viewing and rendering.
When you enter any value for the rendering you don't get any higher than 11. If you set the value to 11 and do a quick render using F12 it crashes blender.
When I enter a value of 10 in the viewing part blender crashes. I can set the value to 7 without crashing.
Note that eg. the standard cube does not crash when using a viewing subdivision modifier of 10.
