Short description of error
Blender crashes after import 170MB sized STL file when interacting on right mouse click.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Today I updated to new version. Old version allowed me to import the STL file and work with it. New version just closes without any message and all is lost. Procedure: Start Blender (Cycles Engine, Camera+Cube+light) > Import STL > Select 170MB big STL file > wait for 1 minute > After file is imported, right click on Cube (from startup default template) to delete it > Blender closes without message without request.

Hi, can you change your selection method to OpenGL Occlusion Queries.
See https://www.blender.org/manual/preferences/system.html#opengl for more information

No news since one week…
I can not test. I downgraded to 2.76a. Also because 2.77 is not able to start on Renderfarm anymore (3D support issue). I just reported the problem.
