Short description of error

When rendering cube in 2.76b with Hawaii(Firepro w8100) my render time is 2.19 seconds. When rendering a cube in 2.77a however the render time jumps to 23.11 seconds. Can't render bmw render test or anything intensive as it feels like it has crashed it takes so long.

Uinstalled the GPU drivers of both cards and installed previous driver for Firepro but still has issue.

I can see some speed regression on a Fiji card here. Rendering BMW goes from 6m to 7m when going from 2.76b to latest buildbot builds.

Need to investigate which change caused this.

I went to test my Fiji(Fury X) and I was noticing the speeds I've had for a while are now totally different. My render time went down to .30sec on both cards in 2.76b. And now my Hawaii(Firepro w8100) renders at 1.75sec in 2.77a instead of 23sec for a cube. I haven't changed anything as to why I'm baffled. I tested this just yesterday and for a week before that.

Tested the BMW render and now my render time is 46.35sec using both cards in 2.77a compared to 40.03sec in 2.76b.

@edisto, do you mean render times became much longer for you now even on 2.76b?
