Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with minimum amount of steps

went to preferences then instal a file. but getting script error

I'm winning Manjaro on my Lenovo laptop built in video card. memory is 4gb. my blender is 2.7 a. can't install window generator -3 it will not install

The window generator is already included in the Archimesh add-on that is shipped with Blender since Blender 2.78.
There is no need to install outside scripts. You just need to activate the add-on Archimesh, and choose the appropriate option.

If you still need some customized variant or an specific add-on that is not in the Blender repositories (third party), you'll have to contact the author for maintenance, bug reports or feature requests.
You can check if the add-on is a third party one by downloading a developer build of blender and look at the 2.7x/scripts/addons and addons_contrib folders, or check out the https://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Extensions:2.6/Py/Scripts under Release and Contrib columns.

If you have some issues with Archimesh you can always open a new task..
