I have tested with 2.78c in Windows 10 64bits and I'm unable to reproduce the error.
Have you selected CTRL_Hole object in the modifier?
In any case, this bug would be more generic error in Boolean modifier and not an Archimesh only.
Please follow our submission template and guidelines and make a complete, valid bug report, with required info, and a small and simple .blend.
Yes I did you the modifier eye dropper to select CTRL_Hole before changing the operation type to Carve. Sorry that should have been part of the repro steps. It works on 2.78c. It only crashes when using the dev branch build (Built locally)
You mention you are using a local compiled version. Have you tested last daily build?
If you create your own version, maybe something can be different. What OS are you using?
