FBX Export broken +++ all colors will be white #50915

Latest Win 10 / GTX 880M with latest driver

Blender Version
Broken: 2.78c
Worked: one of the former versions (can't say which)

Short description of error
FBX exports material colors to a white color only

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • load attached scene
  • export FBX
  • new scene
  • import FBX
    Result: all colors are white
    Same result in MODO (The Foundry)

Thanks for the test file.

Tested the file with exporting it from Blender as FBX and re-importing it back in Blender with build 76015f9 and there, indeed, color is white for the materials.

However, i don't know if it is possible to have them stored - is it a current limitation of the implementation or the standard, or something that should work in certain cases.

@mont29 if you have time can you look into this? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the report, but nodal materials (hence Cycles ones) are not supported by basic shading system of FBX format. You need to use 'old' BI materials.
