Short description of error
The title: Animated object is not refreshed after its layer is turned from invisible to visible.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. File > New
  2. With the selected default Cube, insert a Location Keyframe by pressing I.
  3. Change the current frame to 100.
  4. Grab the default Cube to any location you like.
  5. With the selected default Cube, insert a Location Keyframe by pressing I.
  6. Select the Layer 2.
  7. Change the current frame back to 1.
  8. Select the Layer 1.
  9. Bug: The location of the Cube is not changed, its location is not at the origin (0,0,0).
  10. Change the current frame to 2 to refresh, then remark that the Cube’s location is now near the origin (0,0,0).

Thanks for the report, but this is a known limitation of the old dependency graph. This is fixed to certain extend in the new depsgraph (the one which you enable with --enable-new-depsgraph command line argument). All the rest fixes in this are are happening as a part of Blender 2.8 branch.
