Sun position addon by Michael Martin currently fails mostly because of hardcoded path.
High res maps also is an issue to include right into addons_contrib. (~1 Mo)

While gathering info about this addon, i've found the "meta-androcto" fork adressing other issues (crash under 2.78x), but seem no one currently maintain it on regular basis.

This addon is a "must have" for anyone working with "real-world" models and definitely must be in addon_contribs.

Todo:

Fix hard-coded path
Reduce map under 100k and include only one map.
Add into addon_contrib

hi, yes it seems i'm last to look at this addon, it could be considered orphaned.
if @StephenLeger is prepared to maintain the addon, I agree that contrib would be a good place.
