OSL trace in 2.79 sometimes miss surfaces (but not in 2.78) #52452

Short description of error
OSL trace method erroneously fall through surface and hit mesh behind it. Earlier releases never do that

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open attached blend and render it. ou will get white body contours. See the difference to 2.78 behaviour, when everything is black (screenshots attached)

Some notes: Scene contain Body with Garment. Body is not visible through garment, it does not have any holes and copletely cover the body.

Material on garment contain simple OSL script, which make a trace from point of view (camera) to sampled point and checks the name of object, that was hit by trace.

2.78 traces always hit the garment - since it has not holes and totally visible and placed nearer to camera than body. But trace call in latest 2.79 miss the garment and hit the body behind it, so you can see it contrours on garment - which is wrong.

This blend is redacted version of work file (thus body, garment, etc), since body and garment has several modifiers and armature on it - and this can be related, on simplier setup i do not see such errors.
