e92f235283In 2.78c and earlier, when in Top Ortho (or any other ortho mode) and moving in 3d space with NDOF device, there is no 3d rotate, meaning that the view remains as top ortho.
In 2.79 RC2, when in Top Ortho and moving in 3d space with NDOF device, then the view switches to user perspective, and i am no longer in top orthographic view.
Note for above, the following user preferences have been turned on under the interface tab in both versions: Rotate around selection and Auto Perspective
