denoiser glitch?

Short description of error
The denoiser (whether I use clamping settings or not) goes through the render motions, but then produces an all-black screen.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
please see attachments. I simply checked the "Denoising" checkbox before clicking the "Render Image" pull down selection.

You seem to use Border render? Please set the file up so it matches your screenshots exactly.
Your file is missing the metal_grunge_painted_17_diffuse.jpg texture. (you can just pack the texture)
Could you upload again?
The texture is also plugged into the Normal slot of a Bump node (which is also not the way to go)
And then there are these portal lights (which only help with environment lights from a world [and there is none present in your file], not with emiters afaik)

Anyways, as this is about denoising tiles rendering totally black: I cannot reproduce this unfortunately. Every tile rendering fine including denoising here (both CPU and GPU with or without border render)

Leaving as Incomplete until we can have a look at a file that corresponds with the provided screenshots...

I made changes since the first file, so here are new screen captures and Blender file that matches them with the denoising problem repeated. Thanks!
