Short description of error

.dds normal map looks correct in viewport, but doesn't render correctly in preview (cycles).

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Look at model with normal map in viewport material mode, then turn on preview render, .dds normal map does not seem to work. Same with specular map. Desktop.zip

I'm also having this issue, here's a .blend file with a texture that renders purple in Cycles but correctly in Eevee. It's a simple plane with a Principled BSDF "Base Color" attached to an image texture with the DDS file loaded.

Interestingly enough, packing the texture into the blend file seems to make it work, so I'll upload a .zip with both the .blend and the texture in it.
