Blender crashes after Undo with 'Curve tools 2' addon panels visible
Closed, InvalidPublic

System Information
Windows 10, Radeon HD 4800 series

Blender Version
Broken: 2.79.3 - 7e4c23e
Worked: works OKAY in 2.79a release

Short description of error
Blender crashes after 2-3 attempts of undoing a move of a curve (which is shrinkwrapped onto another object)

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
So, here's how it crashes for me:

  1. Move Roots.001 object (in object mode)
  2. Undo (it mostly works, but crashes sometimes aswell)
  3. Move Roots.001 again
  4. Undo ( this is where it crashes most of the time for me)

Okay, guys, sorry, i think i found the problem. That's the Curve Tools addon, if you have the addon ribbon (named "Curve tools 2") rolled open in Tools panel (T), blender crashes. If you roll that scroll down (or close the tools panel), you can undo as much as you want, just as long as you don't see curve tools opened in tools panel.

Ray molenkamp (LazyDodo) lowered the priority of this task from 90 to 30.Mar 17 2018, 3:35 AM

i can't even seem to enable 'curve tools 2' in my addons, @Vuk Gardašević (lijenstina) how do we handle bugs in contrib?

We'll look into it. If it can't be enabled the task T52564 can be used.

Philipp Oeser (lichtwerk) raised the priority of this task from 30 to 50.

Can actually confirm the crash, will look into it...

closing as archived. curve tools is not active in 2.8 and it's likely to be discontinued
