Short description of error
On the previous version 2.79 you create a cube, go to object, select from the menu "quick smoke effects". The menu is not available.
New user don´t know how to find "Quick smoke effects" by the menu. This is necessary for the new user to quickly setup a smoke sim and explore it and understand its parameters.
It is only available on 2.79a by pressing spacebar and typing "Quick smoke effects".
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
The Quick Effects and other former options on the object menu, need to be set back or instructed on another place on the interface to help the new user to explore these effects Blender can do.

Can't seem to reproduce. the menu is there both for 2.79 and 2.79a, try running blender with the --factory-startup parameter to see if it's a non default addon that is ruining things for you.
