Sapling Tree with non-curve objects on scene renders white

Short description of error
Rendering Sapling Tree (possibly other curves, didn't test) with any other objects on Scene, even Mesh of tree, causes rendering standard Diffuse shader in place of tree shader. When on another layer - renders fine, joining two Visible Layers (one with curve trees and one with the rest) makes trees white again. Rendered preview works ok, but render not.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Click Render button with trees layer selected, then with both trees and leaves with meshes.

What you are seeing as the standard shader rendering on top of the sapling curves is actually the tree mesh objects (e.g. treemesh.001).
These dont have a material assigned (thus rendering 'standard') and their skin modifier is disabled for the viewport (so no geometry in the viewport):

So they appear in the final render (but not in viewport render).
There are no issues rendering any other mesh objects (e.g. default cube) in conjunction with the Sapling curves.

Dont see a bug here, closing.
