Short description of error
NVIDIA TITAN V vs GTX 1080Ti render time - rendering on Volta takes much longer - is this a bug / what is the reason behind this; no other scene shows the same issue from the Blender Institute-prepared benchmark pack (bmw27, classroom, pabellon_barcelona, fishy_cat, koro)
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
render the barbershop_interior_gpu.blend scene with the TITAN V & GTX 1080Ti

Probably some driver issue… @brecht may know more?
Don't think so as the performance differential is there with different drivers and blender versions (although the render times are different of course):
http:*download.blender.org/institute/benchmark171221/latest_snapshot.html (Ton posted it on Blender Developers Blog )
I got the very same results (v2.79b) on Win10 and Ubuntu for TITAN V. The GTX 1080Ti is slower on Win10 (WDDM overhead maybe).
