When loading an X3D scene with multiple assets, the ISO and Web technique is by Inline and urls (which could be local)…
can we add a resource resolver to the importer?

http://www.web3d.org/documents/specifications/19775-1/V3.3/Part01/components/networking.html#Inline

so that if it finds another file type it recognizes, load that
?

System Information
Operating system and graphics card

Blender Version
Broken: (example: 2.69.7 4b206af, see splash screen)
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with minimum amount of steps

Is this a bug or a missing feature?

Having a test case would be useful, either way.

This would be useful to support, but it's indeed a feature request, which we don't track here:
