Short description of error

On any new file, Driver Property Data for Texture Particle System won't appear visible in Graph Editor/Drivers when is set only 1 driver.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

I create a subdivided plane with applied scale. Create static particle system from it, I want to control particle density with a Texture/ Gradient.
After I'm creating a new texture within the particle system. From there I set first Texture to Blend/Ramp black and white - from where the properties after RIGHT CLICK add
DRIVER/manually are not appearing as a captured data visible in the Graph Editor... even the operation is not registered in the Toggle System Console.

**However I play a bit, and The DATA is appearing, and it's showing up in the Graph Editor - only when, I create 2nd Driver for any the the Particle Influence Tab.**After I create the 2nd driver, any new one is appearing correctly withing the same Particle Texture Properties Section - visible for controlling in the Graph Editor!

Could you do a more detailed step by step guide? I can't reproduce this on the latest 2.79 build https://builder.blender.org/download/

But I'm guessing that I'm not perhaps adding the drivers to the right things etc.

So for example:

  1. Open the provided .blend file
  2. Right click Brightness in the color ramp setting and add a driver
  3. ...

Hello Sebastian,

Sorry for the delay. I'm attaching and image, in which I've tried to capture step by step the bug.
Hopefully this will be enough for you, otherwise please let me know.

I can confirm that this also happens in 2.8.
Additionally the changes made in the color ramp is not updated in viewport.

@brecht who to assign this to?

Can confirm this in 2.80, but works correctly in 2.83 So I will assime this has been fixed.
